Shirley Byard is the founder and president of Best Business Strategies and one of the nation’s leading Sage 50 consultants. A graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Shirley brings decades of experience in accounting, finance, and business operations.

Throughout her career, Shirley has served as a National Bank Examiner, partner with The Tax Doctors for 13 years, CFO of Mansuetto Barns Culler Advertising Agency, and Staff Accountant for a CPA firm. She has also worked closely with businesses across a wide range of industries, including retail, manufacturing, construction, distribution, printing, rental properties, non-profits, and professional services.

Recognized for her expertise in Sage 50 Accounting (formerly Peachtree), Shirley specializes in software implementation, system conversions, process improvement, and financial management solutions. A.D. Rutter joined Best Business Strategies in 2018, bringing decades of leadership, management, and customer service experience. After serving more than 41 years in the Army and National Guard and retiring as a Command Sergeant Major, A.D. also enjoyed a successful career with PPG Industries before joining our team.

Today, A.D. works with clients to help them find the checks, forms, and business supplies they need, providing the same dedication and professionalism that defined his military and business careers.
